T-Mobile offering one hour free Gogo inflight connectivity

Deutsche Telekom flags at its HQ. in Germany.T-Mobile has teamed up with Gogo to offer an hour’s free in-flight Wi-Fi on Black Friday and the US Thanksgiving weekend.

The free offers runs until the end of Saturday on US domestic flights.

Passengers just need to switch on their smart device, connect to the Gogo Wi-Fi network once they are at cruising altitude, and open a browser page.

They will then be redirected to the Gogo landing page, where they can hit the “T-Mobile Free Hour” button.

Passengers then need to follow some instructions and log in with a Gogo account, which they can create beforehand if they don’t already have one.

This isn’t the first time that T-Mobile has partnered up with Gogo to provide free in-flight Wi-Fi for its customers, but it is the first time it’s offered it to anyone who flies, regardless of their network.

John Legere, President and CEO of T-Mobile, said: “This year, the holidays are on us!

“2016 has been a looong year. And now it’s time for family and holidays and giving!”

Thanksgiving 2016 is expected to be one of the busiest for travel in years, with nearly four million Americans taking to the skies.
