Immfly supplies wireless IFE to Wamos Air Boeing 747-400s

Passenger using a tablet on Wamos Air.Immfly is providing its in-flight digital services on Wamos Air’s Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

It says the partnership strengthens Immfly’s presence in the Spanish market, making Wamos Air the fourth Spanish airline to partner with the in-flight digital services and entertainment company in Europe and the Middle East.

The new onboard entertainment and digital services platform “Wamos On Air”, designed and developed by Immfly, is now available and passengers can access a broad range of entertainment via their own personal devices (phones, tablets, and laptops).

Wamos Air, which carries 1,000,000 passengers annually, says passengers can easily access the onboard service by activating the airplane mode on their mobile, tablet or laptop; selecting the Wi-Fi network and typing www.wamos-onair.com into their browser.

Vincent Tomasoni, Chief Customer and Digital Services Officer at Immfly, said: “Immfly has proved to be an eminently cost-efficient solution for narrow-bodies due to its agility in delivering results, the close relationship with clients, the greater user experience that provides, as well as the ability to be a revenue generator.

“Immfly is equally ideal for long-haul airlines – where due to the flight duration there is more to do and innovation to offer. We are certainly very happy with the fact Wamos Air has trusted its digitalization with us”.

As the airline’s audience is diverse, Wamos Air and Immfly focused on providing different content modules for every type of passenger (distinct ages and languages). There is a Kids’ section dedicated to the youngest, Music in documentary format, multiple games, all available both in English and Spanish.

Wamos Air travellers can also read the latest news either in a news feed format, where there is no need to download and save space in their PEDs or through a downloadable PDF model.

Jose Ignacio Hernández, On Board Services at Wamos Air, said: “We are pleased to announce the implementation of Immfly ́s solution on all our scheduled flights.

“As a long haul airline we are permanently driving for solutions that improve our passengers ́ on board experience and we are convinced Immfly is the perfect copilot for this ongoing project.”
